2018 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship Opens Non-Profit Funding Opportunities

The largesse of the PGA of America is noteworthy across Michigan’s Great Southwest, and the timing today of announcements regarding giveback opportunities to the community is wonderfully aligned with the holiday season.

Today, the PGA of America has announced its Non-Profit Programs for the 2018 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, as it deepens its commitment to giving back to local community partners in Southwest Michigan. The Championship, which returns to Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan, for the fourth time next spring, has strong ties to the community, and is committed to offering more support to a growing community of charitable organizations.

The Non-Profit Programs will allow organizations to apply through February 8, 2018 for the opportunity to sell tickets and profit from the work they do.  Here are some details of both programs as provided by the PGA:

  • Non-Profit Fundraising –Organizations receive 50-percent of total ticket sales that they have sold. The Championship will donate 50 percent of the total ticket sales to all participating organizations in this program.
  • Non-Profit Ticket Program – Organizations receive complimentary tickets to the 2018 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.

Ryan Ogle is Championship Director. He says, “The tickets for charity program is an important initiative for the PGA of America.” He adds, “One of the core values of the PGA REACH is to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, military veterans and diverse populations and to give back to the communities in which we operate Major Championships. We are grateful to be in a position to donate a larger percentage of ticket sales this year to local community organizations who are willing and able to support this Championship.”
