Whatever image might be rattling around in that creative head of yours, grab a piece of paper and your favorite art supplies and get ready to help the crew at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA to come up with a logo for their huge annual run on Thanksgiving. If people are going to chase their Thanksgiving dreams through Michigan's Great Southwest this fall, they might as well be sporting your custom created logo design, right?
The Niles-Buchanan YMCA is announcing its second annual Thanksgiving Day Run Logo Contest, and this year the Y is asking all local artists and graphic designers to put their skills to the test by designing the logo for the 2016 Thanksgiving Day Run. This contest is open to the public. Artists and graphic designers of all ages are encouraged to enter. All entries must be emailed to atupper@nb-ymca.com or mailed to the Niles-Buchanan YMCA, c/o Alexa Tupper from September 5th through 9th.
One grand prize winner will be chosen by the Thanksgiving Day Run committee. The winner will be announced on September 13th. Visit the link below for an official entry form and contest details. For 35 years the Niles-Buchanan YMCA has been holding a Thanksgiving Day Race. It has become a tradition for many who live in or visit the Niles-Buchanan community over the Thanksgiving Holiday. All proceeds from this race go directly to the Y's Annual Campaign, which is a yearly fundraising initiative designed to support programming at the Y and provide financial support to families through membership scholarships.
The Niles-Buchanan YMCA Thanksgiving Day Run is the largest, most popular run in the Michiana area. Runners have the opportunity to run a 10k, 5k, or a Family 1 mile fun run. You can register in person at Niles-Buchanan YMCA or visit www.runsignup.com.
