Blossom Lanes Converted to Warehouse

The space many of us visited for years in search of the holy grail of a 300 game has been converted into one of the largest garages in the region…and now you can store the vehicle of your choice there under arrangements with the man who brought us all the Amish Built Barn farm on M-139. The once and former Blossom Lanes, which has been closed for several years now, has been gutted and is now known simply as Blossom Storage LLC.

Nolan Passick, who purchased the former AMF Blossom Lanes property after it had sat vacant for a couple of years, has converted the popular night spot into a 36,000 square foot warehouse space ready to be leased to anyone interested in covered, indoor storage for vehicles or other goods.

The hardwood lanes were long ago stripped from the building and sold to another bowling alley which replaced their older lanes with the newer materials. The wood beneath those lanes was sold to a master craftsman who utilizes the wood for his wooden creations, and now the massive concrete floor stretches for thousands of feet available to be pressed into action for safe storage under cover. The space is not climate controlled, and there is no heating or air-conditioning. However, the space is well insulated and well-lit and can be carved out into smaller spaces for those interested in a minimum of 5,000 square feet.

Passick is targeting those with cars, trucks, campers, trailers and other vehicles who want to protect them from the elements. He also has at least one party who is looking at potentially leasing the entire space for use as a warehouse complete with rack storage and fork lift handling.

Passick is also looking at potentially placing smaller, metal storage units on the mezzanine level towards the front of the space where scorers tables and bowling ball racks once held court. Anyone wishing to lease space at Blossom Storage can contact Passick directly at 269-369-2552. The maximum vehicle height the space is capable of handling is 12-feet, inasmuch as he has added a 12-foot high garage door at the south end of the building with a ramp that goes to the main floor of the property.

It's Passick's second venture at 2305 M-139 in Benton Harbor. His first was his Amish Built Barns enterprise that covers almost the entire parking lot there with at least 75 structures on site at all times from 8×8-foot outbuildings to 14×40-foot structures, the largest allowable pre-built barn for hauling in transit on the open highway. Passick's venture can provide everything from the basic to custom built barns and can even custom build on your own property. In recent months Amish Built Barns has also included back yard swing sets and jungle-gyms as well as hunting blinds for sportsmen.

Amish Built Barns is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 6pm and Saturdays from 11am until 4pm. Financing for anywhere from 24 to 48 months is available and no credit check is required. The barns are all authentic Amish built structures created for Pasick by five Amish families with differing styles and construction methods.
