When Mary Jo Tomasini sets out to do something, you can rest assured that three things will happen. First, it will get done. Second, it will get done in a first class manner, and finally, it will be truly memorable. How else can you explain the fact that her little start up company first established in 1993 is now one of the finest, most recognized promotional products companies in the nation, and one that has now been recognized for the sixth time…including four years in a row…as one of the Best Places to Work within that industry nationwide.

The bible of the promotional products industry is best recognized as Counselor magazine. The editors of that publication have tabbed Mary Jo Tomasini's Competitive Edge as among the top 75 promotional products companies in the nation. In fact, they are ranked at #23 for 2016, to go along with their selection for that same honor in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, and 2008.

Strategically located close to I-94 access for rapid deployment of customer goods, Competitive Edge has a birds eye view of Grand Mere State Park and Lake Michigan beyond at their wooded lot high on a hill along Red Arrow Highway, but the atmosphere inside is what really garners the accolades making the business the home to the sort of best practices that create a Best Places to Work opportunity.

Whether it's the Summer BBQs and Cowboy Caviar Days or the simple act of somebody bringing donuts on a Monday morning, the employees at Competitive Edge truly enjoy coming to work there. Mary Jo says, "We have 25 team members who work hard every day to deliver best-in-class service to our clients, but we also see ourselves as a big family that likes to be goofy every once in a while. We have a wonderful group of team members and the fact that many of them have more than 10 years of experience with the company is a testament to the great work we are doing together."
