DK Boutique 15 Years of Fashion Forward

A recent survey shows that the average person has nearly $1,300 worth of clothing in their closet that they never, ever wear. It also reported that of everything in there, we typically only wear about 40-percent of what's available to us. Fortunately for Deb Craig and Jamie Schultz at DK Boutique in the heart of downtown St. Joseph's central business district, their clientele keep DK fashions at the front of the line and love including items for years as timeless fashion favorites.

Craig & Schultz are Owner and Manager respectively at the eclectic boutique at 213 State Street in St. Joseph where they are marking 15 years in business with a full-tilt anniversary celebration that will benefit not only you, the buyer, but some of your favorite local charitable organizations as well.

Deb tells me that she first opened DK Boutique along Cleveland Avenue in 2001 and she's been ensconced in downtown since 2003. Some of her customers have been loyal fans dating all the way back to the Cleveland Avenue store, and Deb hears repeatedly from women who still have timeless fashions from those days in their closet as favorite pieces in their wardrobe.

Perhaps even more timeless for clientele of DK Boutique is the huge array of jewelry including pieces from the collection of Alex & Ani, Pandora and Brighton, just to name a few. DK's unique clothing selection with something for every woman and every style have transformed the boutique into a consistent hot spot with fresh new arrivals all the time.

The colorful shop will hold a formal celebration night on Thursday, November 3rd from 5pm until 8pm complete with refreshments and drawings for a number of prizes. Additionally, starting November 1st, DK Boutique will mark their 15th Anniversary with 15 consecutive days of give back donations to local charities. Each of those first fifteen days will deliver 15-percent off of your total purchase each time you shop and 15-percent of each day's sales will be donated to local groups.

If you have a personal affinity for a particular non-profit in the line-up, your shopping trip will also accrue to their donated receipts. Here's who will earn the give back percentage in November:

  • November 1-3 benefits Humane Society of Southwest Michigan
  • November 4-6 benefits Safe Shelter for Domestic Violence
  • November 7-9 benefits Berrien County Council for Children
  • November 10-12 benefits Benton Harbor Girls Academy
  • November 13-15 benefits Boys & Girls Club of Benton Harbor

Please note that the 15-percent off purchase excludes Pandora, Alex & Ani and sale items. All item sales, however, are counted towards the donation total each day.

DK Boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 10am until 6pm and Sundays from 11am until 4pm. Learn more online by clicking this link:  http://www.dkboutique.com/
