Edgewater Opens Royalton Mortgage Center

Already known regionally for its branding as "The real local bank," St. Joseph-based Edgewater Bank is enhancing that image through creation of a new Mortgage Center in Royalton Township and is in the process of beefing up that center by recruiting additional mortgage professionals in the local market.

Edgewater Bank President & CEO Rick Dyer says the new Mortgage Center will be anchored at the Royalton Township branch at 4097 Hollywood Road in front of Roger's Foodland. To augment the staff at the new center, the bank will be hiring additional mortgage professionals.

Dyer says, “Because we are a local bank, we make our mortgage loan decisions right here. That’s why we can process pre-qualifications in two days, not two weeks.” He adds, “It’s also why we typically close on most properties in four weeks.” He added that unlike many banks, all mortgages originated by Edgewater are locally serviced by the bank’s staff.

Regarding the recruitment campaign, Dyer says, “To sustain this level of local service and fast turnarounds, we need to increase our staff at the new Mortgage Center.” He adds, “We’re seeking applicants who know our area, the mortgage process and the benefits of living in Southwest Michigan.” Anyone interested in the mortgage processor and mortgage loan originator positions, can find more information by clicking through to the bank's website right here: www.edgewaterbank.com.
