Grand Mere Sunday Supper Coming

There was never a doubt that the spirit of legendary restaurateur Pete Racine would live on in his absence, and recent events have certainly solidified that notion thanks to his son Charley Racine and Charley's wife Tricia. Many of you have heard for years around this time of year of Pete & Nancy Racine's generosity through the tradition of the Sunday Supper fundraiser for the Readiness Center, and that tradition lives on, following Pete's untimely death last year.

In addition to all of the other things that Charley & Tricia continue to bring to the community through their largesse, including Charley's recent turn as Celebrity Chef for the Hanson Hospice Center's Taste Sensations fundraiser, they are renewing the pledge to keep the Benton Harbor Readiness Center in the forefront.

Sunday, November 13, 2016 will mark the 19th Annual Sunday Supper fundraiser for the Readiness Center, and tickets are now on sale for $125 per person. Every single penny of that ticket price flows directly to the Readiness Center, inasmuch as Charley & Tricia are continuing the tradition of Pete & Nancy in donating everything for the dinner. In fact, as has become tradition, the entire staff donates all of their time for this amazing dinner event and Charley & Tricia donate all of the food and drink for the dinner.

The Readiness Center is hopeful of filling the Grand Mere Inn to the rafters on Sunday, November 13th with friends both new and old alike, ready to enjoy a great meal and good conversation, all in support of the parents and children attending the Readiness Center.

Anyone interested in attending this 19-year old tradition can simply call 269-926-4084 to learn more or to make reservations and line up your dinner tickets.
