Sawyer-based Greenbush Brewing Company is at the epicenter of the return of the Big Lebowski Beer Tour presented by West Michigan Beer Tours out of Kalamazoo. Greenbush brewer Jake Demski has crafted a trio of specialty beers that reference the pop culture movie which will also be screened at the conclusion of the tour at the Alamo Drafthouse in Kalamazoo.
West Michigan Beer Tours is collaborating not only with Demski and his Greenbush colleagues, but also with Latitude 42 Brewing Company, the Airway Fun Center and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to host the Big Lebowski Beer Tour on Saturday, October 1st.
Greenbush small batch beers on tap to celebrate the event include the following:
- "Obviously You're Not A Golfer" — a 5-percent ABV Arnold Palmer Ale which will be available on the tour at Central City Tap House — it's an ale with lemonade and ice tea in secondary fermentation…
- "The Brew Abides" — a 9-percent ABV White Russian Imperial Stout which will be showcased on the tour at the Airway Fun Center…
- "Who's Woo?" — a 7-percent ABV Rice IPA which will be on tap at the Alamo Drafthouse…
The craft beer names created by Demski all reference the oft-quoted Big Lebowski movie. The tie-dye-laden tour of Latitude 42 Brewing Company, bowling at the Airway Fun Center, and a quote-along of the cult film starring Jeff Bridges begins with a 3pm registration at the Central City Tap House, and end with a movie party and screening of The Big Lebowski at 7:30pm at the Alamao Drafthouse.
Those attending are highly encouraged to wear clothing referencing the film and might actually find themselves rewarded for doing so. Hotel discounts are also available upon request.

The West Michigan Beer Tours Big Lebowski event originates at the Central City Tap House with 3pm registration and 4pm departure and includes a stop at Latitude 42 Brewing Company from 4:15 to 5:15pm….a stop at the Airway Fun Center from 5:30pm to 6:45pm…and termination at the Alamo Drafthouse for the Quote-Along at 7pm and movie screening at 7:30pm.
