Just as the steel pilings to anchor the new St. Joseph branch of Honor Credit Union are taking shape, so too is the growing future of the institution as they announce today a new partnership with a Battle Creek institution which will be merged into the Honor brand going forward.

Honor officials revealed today that they will partner with the Battle Creek Area Community Federal Credit Union after the leadership team there selected Honor as the organization they wanted to align with in order to offer even great opportunities to their membership. Honor Credit Union has always held its members' financial success at the core of its mission, and Battle Creek ACFCU says they share in that belief. With core missions already aligned, it was an easy transaction to combine the resources of both.

The Battle Creek institution only has one branch location, which is in the city of Battle Creek. Officials on both sides of the table say that joining the two successful credit union's resources together will allow for increased financial opportunity for members, as well as superior member service. Both teams are dedicated to providing solutions for financial success and reinvesting in their local communities.

Liz Amundson is Chief Executive Officer of the Battle Creek team. She says, "We are excited to be entering a partnership with Honor Credit Union," adding, "Combining forces with an organization that shares our core beliefs and values is key, and we look forward to expanding upon our tradition of excellent member service."

For his part, Honor CEO Scott McFarland says today, "Collaboration is what the credit union movement is all about. We're excited to partner with Battle Creek Area Community Federal Credit Union and the opportunities that will come with working together with this great team and community."

Upon regulatory approval and a positive member vote from the Battle Creek members, that institution will become a part of Honor Credit Union. The partnership will result in a $725-million dollar organization with more than 65,000 members across the State of Michigan.

Those interested in further details are being invited to a Q&A session at the Battle Creek branch at 240 North Helmer Road in Battle Creek on Tuesday, December 13th at 5pm. Additional information is also available at both websites listed below:
