SPGA Re-Cap On Your TV Today

Perhaps you were a member of the army of volunteers who turned out for the 2016 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid over the Memorial Day weekend. Maybe you were among the thousands of spectators who witnessed a strong field contending for the Alfred S. Bourne Trophy. Or…maybe you had to be out of town and missed the whole affair. Any way you stack it up, there are a couple of chances to relive the highlights of this year's Championship and one of them is this afternoon.

The PGA of America tells us to set the DVR for the Golf Channel at 2pm this afternoon to watch the Highlight Show recapping all of the exciting and memorable moments from the 2016 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. Sorry for the late notice, but we just learned about it this morning!

If you are unable to get to the show or your DVR today, the re-cap show will air again on Wednesday, October 19th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm ET.

From the record performance of Rocco Mediate, capturing his first major championship and establishing a new 72-hole scoring record for the Senior PGA Championship previously held by Sam Snead, to Colin Montgomerie's battle to retain the Bourne Trophy for a third consecutive time and shooting the lowest score by a non-winner, the show is certain to remind everyone how special the week was at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.

Certainly one of the most memorable moments of the week didn't involve play, but rather was the announcement of the KitchenAid sponsorship extension that brings the Championship back to Harbor Shores not only again in 2018, but also in 2020, 2022 and in 2024. That's a partnership that continues to grow and shines a remarkable light on great golf, great appliances and Michigan's Great Southwest.

So…head home at lunch time and set your DVR…or call family members and have them capture the highlight show to relive the great event right here in our area.
