Still Room For You at Denise Bohn Afterglow

If you were hoping to golf Saturday in the #DeniseBohnStrong Golf Outing at Indian Lake Hills in Sister Lakes, the bad news for you is that the course is filled to capacity and beyond. That's great news for organizers and Denise's children for whom the event is a major league fundraiser. The good news for anyone who would still like to be part of this amazing outpouring of love is that the afterglow at The Farmers Country Club is a wide open affair, including great food, wonderful prizes, and the chance to honor one of the most amazing advocates in the battle against breast cancer in the entire nation.

While the golf outing sold out a couple of weeks ago with a record number of golfers joining the affair, non-golfers and those who simply waited until it was too late suddenly were fearful of being left on the sidelines. That is simply not the case. Everybody is welcome to join the post-game rally at The Farmers Country Club at 5265 Napier Circle in Benton Harbor for some great food, lots of Denise stories, access to a silent auction, lots of games, prizes, raffles and more, all in a bid to boost the fundraising efforts for Denise's children left behind following her tragic death back in April.

Denise, who regularly anchored the WSJM Week in Review digital newscast at WSJM.com, and was also co-host of the Denise & Jonny Morning Show on The Coast, at 98.3, was a tireless worker for the Komen Michigan team in Michigan's Great Southwest in her never-ending drive to find a cure for breast cancer. She was undoubtedly one of the most prolific fundraisers and staunchest advocates for breast cancer survivors and those stricken with the disease the region has ever known.

Anybody who would like to join the afterglow following the golf outing is invited to simply show up anytime after 2pm at the Farmers Country Club, bring a personal donation toward the cause and celebrate a remarkable woman and a spectacular life that ended far, far, too soon.

Silent auction items can be bid on by anyone attending, food and beverages will be plentiful, and Denise's children will hopefully have a dramatically increased education trust fund to help them out now that their mother cannot provide for them in the manner she had desperately hoped and planned for during her too-short life.

Share the story and encourage your friends to join the cause this Saturday afternoon, August 6th at 2pm at the Farmers Country Club off Napier in Benton Harbor.
