Berrien County Woman Wins Michigan Lottery Cruise

The recent winning streak in Michigan’s Great Southwest continues as a Berrien County woman playing an instant lottery game will join four other Michiganders in setting sail on a 5-day Western Carribbean cruise after winning the Cruisin’ Instant Game’s second-chance drawing.

Rachel Tidey from Buchanan will join Michelle Allen of Warren, Nicole Anderson of Bryon, Frank Belongia out of Chesaning, and Jeff Hobbs from Almost in heading to sea aboard the Royal Carribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas cruise ship. The classic is that each of them won the cruise in a second chance drawing after their instant game failed to produce any other prize win.

Tidey and each of the other lottery players and a guest each will enjoy a five-night cruise thanks to their win. Each trip includes roundtrip airfare for two to Tampa, Florida, hotel accommodations for the night before the cruise departure, limited ground transportation, and a $250 ship credit. An additional $150,000 in cash prizes also will be awarded throughout the course of the cruise.

Players still have time to win one of 15 other cruises playing the Cruisin’ instant game. To enter, players should visit MichiganLottery.com/Cruise to enter codes from non-winning Cruisin’ instant game tickets.

For just $2, each Cruisin’ ticket offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from $2 up to $30,000. Players may win up to 12 times on each ticket. Players have won more than $2.4 million playing Cruisin’. More than 5.3 million in prizes remain, including two $30,000 top prizes, and 16 $1,000 prizes.

Cruisin’ instant game tickets will be available Tuesday at the 11,000 Lottery retailers across the state.

In 2016, Lottery players won nearly $817 million playing instant games.

About 97 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets benefits the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers and vendors. In 2016, the Lottery provided a record $888.9 million to help support Michigan’s public schools. Since it began in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $20.5 billion to support public education.
