Cook Plant’s Schalk to Keynote Lakeshore Chamber’s Annual Meeting

Bill Schalk has been tabbed to keynote the annual meeting for members of the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce followed by revelation later in the evening of the sparkplugs of the community in the form of the chamber’s business awards presentations.

The Lakeshore Chamber says their upcoming 2018 Annual Meeting will be held at Villa Santaniello’s in Stevensville, on Monday, January 22nd, featuring networking opportunities at 5:30pm followed by dinner, the keynote address, and business meeting at 6:15pm.

The Chamber invited Bill Schalk, Communications Manager and Cook Plant spokesman for Indiana Michigan Power Company’s Cook Nuclear Plant at Bridgman, to deliver the evening’s keynote address.  Schalk will address the status of the Cook Plant, the economic impact of Indiana Michigan Power/AEP in the community of Michigan’s Great Southwest, as well as their volunteer engagement in the community at large.

Additionally, the Chamber’s interim president, Kellen Van Hulle, will present an overview of Chamber activities for 2017 as well as the goals and objectives established for 2018.

The Annual Meeting will conclude with the recognition of the 2017 Business of the Year and the 2017 Community Spirit Award.
