Kate Upton Cops Another Cover

St. Joseph-born cover girl and super model Kate Upton has made it to the cover of Sports Illustrated for the third time in less than two years, only this time she's not alone...and she's in full dress uniform.

Congressman Fred Upton's world renowned niece is on the cover of the MLB Playoff Preview edition of the popular sports magazine dated October 2, 2013 and she's sporting an Atlanta Brave's uniform.  Sandwiched between Brave's players B.J. Upton and Justin Upton who hope to lead Atlanta to post-season success against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS, the magazine cover jokes that she is the "long-lost cousin" of B.J. and Justin.

Other than bearing the same last name as the Brave's brother duo, Kate's only previous connection to Major League Baseball was her brief alleged tie to Detroit Tiger pitcher Justin Verlander, and a TV commercial for an MLB video game.

Regardless of connections, Kate's fortunes continue to rise as she pops up on the cover of more major magazine publications with every passing month.  Her mom and dad, who still live in St. Joseph are going to run out of wall space soon if they're framing the famous covers for posterity.
