The Lake is Calling

Real Estate Broker Phil Nadeau certainly understands "the call of the lake."  In fact...he understands it so well that he has named his multi-million dollar development nestled into the woods outside Covert, Le Lac Appelle.  That is French for "The Lake is Calling."

Anybody who has ever enjoyed a visit however brief to Whirlpool Corporation's private David R. Whitwam Brandywine Creek International Corporate Conference Center located nearby certainly understands the overhwelming impression of woodlands and dunes in that entire neighborhood.  Covert's seven miles of sandy beaches, summer cottages and multi-million dollar lakefront homes reside side-by-side with rural estates, acres of prime blueberry land, and one of the largest nature preserves in the region in the form of the 1449-acre Ross Coastal Plain Marsh Preserve.  Phil Nadeau once owned the conference center property near I-196 Exit 13 in Covert and sold it to Whirlpool in the early 90's for creation of Brandywine Creek.

Now, Nadeau and his son John have developed a private lakefront community just minutes away from the Brandywine Creek Center that will allow a limited audience the opportunity to call that area home.  Le Lac Appelle's community consists of two charming inland lakes, unique gated entrances, and cottage-style lakefront homes.  The lakes are ideal for fishing, small boats and swimming.

Whereas most developers work diligently to maximize every square foot of available space, the Nadeau family vision limits the dream to just 17 spacious home sites capitalizing on the natural setting, mature trees, and dunes which provide excellent privacy and separation between homes.

Potential homeowners can make Le Lac Appelle their primary residence or a vacation-home not that far from home.  The development is within 5-minutes of freeway access, and about mid-way between St. Joseph and South Haven.

Real Estate Broker Mikki Swisher from American Homes Real Estate of Coloma has been invited by the Nadeaus to partner in the marketing of the property, and they are hosting Saturday and Sunday Open Houses each weekend in October from 11am until 5pm.

For details on how to get there, or to arrange for a showing of the homes and building sites, you can reach Mikki at 269-208-0133 or the Nadeaus at 269-208-0606.
