Back on the Rack and Growing Strong

Jennifer Moore must be like one of those perpetual motion machines...because she just can't seem to stand still...but that's a good thing!  It's an especially good thing for fans of her consignment shop which is evolving once again into a bigger and better store than ever before.

Jennifer launched her business, Back on the Rack, and upscale resale and consignment shop, in downtown Coloma about a year and a half ago in April of 2012.  Less than 8 months later she was bursting at the seams and moved to a larger store front in downtown Watervliet in November of 2012.  Now, she is cranking up the Grand Opening machine on her latest expansion, having added more than 1,400 square feet of additional shopping space in the back half of her building.

So, what does that mean for fans of Back on the Rack?  Well, it means an expanded men's means additional offerings in the newly expanded junior's, misses and women's department...and it means a substantial increase in the amount of space dedicated to her consignment furniture department offering pieces for your living room, kitchen or baby's room.

So...eighteen months into this whirlwind of a business enterprise, Jennifer is inviting you in for the Grand Opening on Saturday, October 26, 2013.  Be sure to check out her new "Formal Room," which contains Wedding Gowns, Prom & Pageant Dresses, Mother-of-the-Bride/Groom Dresses, and other formal wear for a night on the town.  Now, not only can you browse the formals, you can try them on.

Everything in the store at Back on the Rack is in very good condition and many clothing items are new with tags still attached.  Jennifer is very careful to assure that all clothing is stain-free, smoke-free, and free of the need for repair.  If items arrive that don't make the cut, she has been known to offer the item (or parts thereof!) to local artists who use them to create up-cycled and re-purposed items that are then sold in the store.  Jennifer takes great pride in keeping things out of the landfill for as long as possible.

The neatness of the store and quality of items has actually helped change many customers vision and opinion of a resale store.  Many visitors comment on the cleanliness and organization as well as the quality on hand.

Back on the Rack sells clothing for the entire family from newborns to 5x sizes.  They also offer home decor, furniture, purses, jewelry from both the costume realm and real stuff, biker gear, wall mirrors, maternity clothing, scrubs, shoes, musical instruments, handmade scarves, small appliances, handmade dream catchers, strollers, cribs & other baby accessories, new window blinds, lamps & other lighting, sports gear, new hand puppets, and a lot more.  You have to visit often because new things pop up on the sales floor daily.

One additional service from Jennifer:  she is now offering tuxedo rentals, too.  Look for details during the grand opening.

You'll find Back on the Rack at 361 North Main Street in downtown Watervliet...and can reach Jennifer via phone at 269-463-7225.  The store is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am until 7pm and Saturdays from 10am until 3pm.

The Grand Opening on Saturday the 26th will feature bottled water, coffee, and some fun surprises.  Check it out!  They routinely post on Facebook, as well.
