rue21 Opens for Business

The newest store in the Fairplain Plaza is now officially open for business and is a visual treat beyond compare.  The new rue21 threw open the doors to customers this morning (Thursday, October 10, 2013) and is ready to put you into the latest fashion trends as soon as you can get in to start shopping.

I first profiled the new store in my column over the 4th of July holiday weekend just days after they had signed a lease to take space alongside Five Below just down from Kohl's.  rue21 is a specialty apparel retailer offering exclusive branded merchandise and the newest trends.  They offer fresh, fun apparel for girls and guys featuring signature brands tarea, rue21 Etc!, ruebeaute!, and CARBON elements.

"Rue" comes from the French word for "street," while 21 embodies the age that everyone wants to be.  Corporate headquarters for the chain is just north of Pittsburgh in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, and they now have more than 941 stores in 47 states including 32 other shops here in Michigan.

The new store showcases clothing for guys in the form of long and short sleeve shirts, graphic tees, tanks, jeans, pants, shorts, shoes, cologne and accessories.  Girls have the same category options plus sweaters, dresses, skirts, loungewear, bras & undies, yoga wear, jewelry, handbags, sandals, sunglasses, and makeup elements.  All rue21 stores are corporate-owned, not franchise operations.

The new store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am until 9pm and Sundays from 11am until 6pm.
