International Manufacturer Selects Stevensville

A global supplier to the membrane switch and flexible technology industry is establishing a new office along Red Arrow Highway in Stevensville.  Memcon has grown over the past six years to be a multi-national business with facilities in Hong Kong, Shenzhen China and Cambridge England along with a small basement office in Bridgman up until now. 

Memcon has been successful in Europe and Asia for approximately 15 years now and launched their North American presence in October of 2010.  Corporate Directors Martin Gilbert and Ian Braithwaite are headquartered in Cambridge England.  They were clients of Simon Blackwell of Bridgman who afforded them space in his basement in order to establish their U.S. presence. 

As a leading supplier in their specialty market place, Memcon has diversified their product range from Electro-Mechanical technology used in an extensive range of connectors and metal domes to the latest Opto technology to bring to the market one of the world's thinnest LED's in a 1206 Chip Package.  Sales at Memcon doubled in 2012 and are currently on pace to double again here in 2013, leading to their need to expand again.

Company officials have completed lease negotiations preparatory to their establishment of a facility at 6000 Red Arrow Highway.  The company is looking to employ a full time sales and customer service administrator to join their small and dynamic team at the new Stevensville office.

Main responsibilities of that new position will include: processing customer/supplier invoice and payments...preparing sales journals...processing customer orders and shipments, to include picking and packing...checking and booking-in inward shipments...export documentation...liasing with customers, suppliers and couriers worldwide...preparing & sending letters, quotes and samples...database management and other general office duties.  Successful candidates for the new position will have good grades in Math & English and be computer literate -- ideally in MS Office, accounting and database packages.  An additional language skill would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.  Salary will be negotiated for work hours of 9am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and 15-days annual leave.
