Lake Michigan Admirals Return

Retirement proved to be either short-lived or highly elusive for Lake Michigan Admirals Owner Chris Glisson.  First he stepped out with announcement last week of a new professional basketball organization called G.O.E. and now he says the Admirals will return for the upcoming season to the Premier Basketball League.

Glisson and two unnamed business partners voiced their disdain last week for the manner in which most minor league organizations were being run with misleading statements and unkept promises.  They then revealed a new goal to provide an opportunity for young men to further their careers after school with a legitimate chance of playing basketball overseas.

The new league name stands for God Over Everything, and individual ownership in the league can be attained for $2,000.00 per franchise and registration fees of $250 per player. Interested parties can learn more from Chris at 269-208-3397.

Glisson had announced his retirement at the end of July, but with the new league venture and the Admirals' return to the PBL, he'll find plenty to keep him busy.

The Admirals franchise is entering its 5th season of play, and third in the PBL.  They mark the 8th team in the league to date, with additional team announcements expected in the week ahead.  Regarding the team's return, Glisson says, "It was always our intent to return to the Premier Basketball League.  We just needed to restructure some things on the business side, and we'd hoped to be able to do it in time to start the 2014 season.  We're pleased to have accomplished what we needed to, and we're excited to be a part of such an outstanding organization that shares our commitment to encourging community involvement.  We look forward to being here for many years to come."
