Financing Growth Seminar Expanded

The Financing Growth Seminar for small business owners and entrepreneurs set for November 21st has been expanded in order to provide new options to secure funding.  SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, is the host for the seminar, and Perry Ballard has passed along word that the session will now provide options to secure financing from $500.00 to millions for specific business opportunities.

Capital to maximize business opportunities is an ongoing challenge for small businessmen and women everywhere.  While the SCORE session on Financing Growth will outline basic conventional banking approaches to source funds, it will also cover new unconventional avenues such as crowd funding, angel investors and peer-to-peer lending.  Additionally, those in attendance will have an opportunity to meet representatives of various financing organizations to determine the best avenue to develop capital for their specific projects.

Leaders of the seminar include:
  • Bob Gottlieb -- Retired CFO of Wolverine Mutual Insurance Company
  • Bob Elliott -- Retired Engineering Executive & Business Manager at Ford Motor Company, Motorola and Whirlpool Corporation
  • Joe Trupiano -- Career Accountant and Consultant on Accounting Software Products
  • Margaret Adams -- Manager of the Women's Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance which provides access, counsel and technical assistance to small business owners and entrepreneurs

The Financing Growth Seminar is scheduled to run from 6:30pm until 8:30pm on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Lincoln Township Library which is located at 2099 W. John Beers Road in Stevensville.  Fee for the 2-hour session is $40 per person and includes all materials and references.
