A New Day at the Orchards Mall

Today marks a "new Day" at The Orchards Mall in Benton Harbor.  Dr. Steve Day, a West Michigan born and raised native has returned to the mitten in a new partnership with the crew at Sears Optical in the mall.

Dr. Day and his wife Shannon were joined by staff members and Cornerstone Chamber Ambassadors this morning, Monday, November 18, 2013, in a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at the optical center in the J.C. Penney Court.  He was born in Kalamazoo and she is a Bridgman native, and both are happy to be back home in Michigan's Great Southwest following a two-year optometry stint in Elko, Nevada.

Dr. Day attended Ferris State University for his undergraduate studies and graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2011 with a Doctor of Optometry degree.  Upon learning of the job opportunity back close to home for both of them, the good Doctor joined Sears Optical as an independent optometrist at the begining of September.  This is his new home office and he also practices one or two days a week at his Battle Creek site. The couple just bought a home locally and are both looking to become involved in the community.

Dr. Day accepts walk-in exams, same day exams and sees patients of all ages.  Scheduling for an eye exam with Dr. Day is also available online at his website:  http://stevedayod.com/  or the Sears Optical website.

Office hours in Benton Harbor for the Dr. are Monday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Wednesday from 11am to 7pm.  You can reach him by phone at 269-927-5914.

Congratulations, Doc...and welcome home!
