The Christmas Tree Hosts Best Selling Authors

The magic of Christmas is evident year round at The Christmas Tree north of town...but never moreso than in the heart of the holiday season.  Madelaine & Kathy have arranged for a very special bit of magic thanks to the impending visit of an amazing Michigan couple whose iconic photographs have captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of people world wide.

Seemingly everyone at one point or another has seen the famous photo of a deer in the snow nibbling the carrot nose of a red-capped snowman during a gently falling snow.  Carl Sams II and Jean Stoick are responsible for that image and dozens more like it that populate their New York Times best-selling books being sold all over the globe.  Now, we have the opportunity to see and talk with the famous authors during a Book Signing event at The Christmas Tree, located at 2675 Mizpah Park Road in Benton Harbor, just north of the Whirlpool Administrative Center on M-63.

On Saturday afternoon, November 30, 2013, the two will be on hand from 12:30pm until 4:30pm to showcase their award winning talents, and autograph your books.  Their striking photos of nature and their outstanding children's books are renowned.  In fact, they have garnered more than 85 major awards for their work over the years.

Their books include:  Stranger in the Woods, A Photographic Fantasy...Tea with Lady Sapphire...and more.

During the Book Signing event the couple will introduce their new series of gift books, For the Love of Birds...Babies of the Wilds...and Loons in the Mist.  Carl says that Jean and he, "Love to visit this side of the state with its wonderful Lake Michigan shoreline.  Spending time at The Christmas Tree gives us a chance to meet and thank our loyal customers and get in the holiday spirit."

Stranger in the Woods was their first book and it became a #1 New York Times bestseller, selling over 1.5 million copies.

The Christmas Tree is located just four miles north of St. Joseph on M-63, and left at the blinking light.
