The Livery Hosts Holiday Bizarre

You have to love the attitude prevailling in the Benton Harbor Arts District that tells us point blank:  "Most of us are not in a position to lure new industries here, save jobs, or revitalize the automotive industry...but we can all do something to create positive change by shopping and buying locally!" Amen, folks!  They're not just saying it either...they're living it!

On Monday, December 9th from 7pm to 9pm and Tuesday, December 10th from 5pm until 9pm, The Livery will host the 5th Annual Holiday Bizarre -- a strikingly unconventional shopping experience with 20+ local businesses and artists selling merchandise of all kinds and gift certificates for holiday gift giving.

It is the great success enjoyed in previous years by the organizers that led them to extend the hours into a second day for this year's version.  The Bizarre (yes, it's purposely misspelled that way on purpose...even though you probably think it should be spelled Bazaar) will be open for those two nights in the spacious Upper Livery and Balcony.

From handcrafted clothing to artisan jewelry, from handmade soap to calendars, from dog bowls to sock monkeys, there's literally something for everybody.

Leslie Pickell at The Livery Microbrewery thanks ArtAffects Coalition and the New Territory Arts Association, both of which are local arts advocacy non-profits in Benton Harbor, for promotional and operational support of the big event.

You can learn more about the businesses and artists participating in The Bizarre by clicking here:;
You'll find The Livery in the Benton Harbor Arts District of downtown Benton Harbor at 190 5th Street in the city.  They feature 16 taps of microbrewed beer, 2 Real Ale taps served by antique beer engines, a Cafe serving great food and an outdoor beer garden.  Music and other live entertainment are regularly featured at The Livery.
