How Much is that Trio in the Window?

Visitors to the St. Joseph Luminary Festival last Friday evening got a sneak preview of the 2nd Annual Live Mannequins event arriving in the central business district on Friday, December 6th. Three sassy sallies sat stock still for quite a while in the beautifully decorated display window at Moxie's Boutique at the corner of State and Broad Streets to showcase the return of the wildly popular event hosted by St. Joseph Today on the same night that the City of St. Joseph will Light Up the Bluff.

Mayor Mike Garey will flip the switch at 6:30pm that evening illuminating thousands of twinkling lights stretched the full length of the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan.  The community Christmas tree at the base of Broad Street will be lit with dozens of holiday-themed displays, but the real fascination factor will be a block away in the central business district where Edgewater Bank and the Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council are sponsoring the second year of the wildly popular live mannequins in seemingly every store front downtown.

Dozens of community volunteers like the three young ladies shown in the picture accompanying this story in Moody on the Market.com will pose perfectly still in the participating storefronts from 7pm until 8:30pm.  The transformation of window after window brings great excitement for all ages as holiday story favorites from books, to movies to songs "come to life" in the scenes.  Gift hunters will also appreciate the unique selections, special prices, and festive shopping atmosphere that evening and all through December.

Get it on your calendar...and do not miss it!
