Site Upgrade Continues for Pizza Place

New stonework has been erected...a crisp new black door canopy is in place proclaiming "Pizza Done Right"...and the restaurant sports a plate glass front window for the first time ever...as work continues on the up and coming East of Chicago Pizza franchise in Royalton Township.

CPM Construction from St. Joseph is handling the remodeling task at the site of the former Roma's Pizza on M-139 in the Scottdale neighborhood across from Pater True Value Hardware.  There is still no posted launch date for the new pizzeria at 4031 S. M-139, but the remodeling work should brighten the dining room considerably.  The predeccesor restaurant had only the glass front door and a narrow sidelight until the new plate glass window was cut and put into place.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, East of Chicago anchors itself on a signature fresh pan pizza, but has a pretty broad menu that also includes subs, salads, sides and desserts.  In fact, you will find a dozen different styles of pizza on the East of Chicago menu along with a dozen different styles of subs, five salads, two styles of wings, nachos and five type of dessert offerings.

From authentic Chicag0-style deep dish pizza, to specialty pizzas like taco & Hawaiian offerings, it would appear that there's something for everyone in the family.  There are also bread sticks, cheese sticks, garlic breads, fold-overs, and a lot more.

There are currently six East of Chicago Pizza franchises in Indiana, one each in Kentucky, South Carolina and West Virginia...and nearly 70 operations peppered across the state of Ohio.  This one's already on the soon to open list at their corporate website and the new sign has been in place for a couple of months now.  Stay tuned for details on the opening of the new pizzeria.
