Calling all Filmmakers

School students have a unique opportunity to not only showcase their filmmaking talents, but to earn a cool $3-grand for their school district in the process.

For the second consecutive year the marketing team at Honor Credit Union has issued a call to all aspiring videographers in their 2nd Annual Video Challenge.

A 30-to-60 second video highlighting Honor Credit Union and its contributions to local communities is all that a school has to create and enter in a bid to win the $3,000.00 top prize in the competition.  All schools entering the competition must create, film, and edit the video themselves in order to be eligible.  You have two and a half months to work your film magic, with entries due by February 28th, 2014.  The $3,000.00 prize will go to the winning school and a second place prize of $1,000.00 will be offered to the second place school as well.  Additionally, the winning video will be featured in Honor Credit Union's advertising.

In preparation for the project, Honor has suggested a number of potential outlets where schools can garner information regarding the credit union and its community involvement.  Honor's website, Facebook page, Twitter account, information at each branch, and both phone and in-person interviews with a marketing rep from the credit union have all been suggested to potential applicant schools.

Jeff Pisarsky is Honor's Director of Marketing, and he says, "We can't wait to see what the schools come up with this year.  The amount of creativity and resourcefulness shown by students in this contest makes it so much fun for us to organize!"

Honor Credit Union serves more than 41,000 members in over 14 counties in Michigan.
