Veteran Caregivers Launch New Business

The increasing demand for in-home care has spawned a new service provider in the Paw Paw neighborhood serving all of Michigan's Great Southwest.  Veteran caregivers Eric Pumfery and William Najacht opened the doors earlier this year on their joint venture called Home Sweet Home In-Home Care.  Based in Paw Paw, the new team currently provides service to Berrien, Cass & Van Buren Counties and will soon add Kalamazoo County into their service area.

Between them, Pumfery and Najacht have amassed more than 17-years of management experience.  Pumfery serves as Director of Operations and Najacht is Director of Client Care.

Together, they and their service team of caregivers offer assistance with everything from walking and exercise regimens to light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, running errands, picking up prescriptions, grocery shopping, personal care including bathing, dressing and continence care.  Other options include medication reminders, respite care, post hospital and nursing home transition care.

The cutting-edge technology employed by Home Sweet Home In-Home Care affords them services such as a family learning center providing clients and their family members with access to over 50 online training courses.  The center provides information and training courses pertaining to a number of elder issues, including illnesses, stroke care, Alzheimers and dementia care, nutrition, and end-of-life care.

The online center allows clients and family members to log-in to the "family room" to stay up to date and coordinate with caregivers and fellow family members.

Home Sweet Home also offers safety solutions such as a personal emergency response system, medication dispenser and monitored smoke detector, all of which are monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week year round.  All Home Sweet Home caregivers are trained and supervised by an on-staff Registered Nurse.
