Santa's in the House

If you've put the finishing touches on your Christmas Wish List and want to make sure that it gets into a certain individual's hands in a timely manner, that certain individual is now officially in residence in the heart of the central business district in downtown St. Joseph.  Santa arrived last weekend aboard a classic firetruck in the St. Joseph Today Reindog Parade and shortly thereafter settled in to his spiffy little house directly outside of the organization's Welcome Center.

Santa began accepting visitors shortly after the parade and is now maintaining regular hours at his house at the corner of Pleasant and State Streets downtown.  The good folks at The Herald-Palladium newspaper are picking up his mortgage costs again this winter so he is unencumbered by any worldly worries aside from how to fulfill the myriad wishes being directed his way by eager children of all ages.

The Jolly Old Elf is an annual tradition provided by St. Joseph Today and underwritten by the newspaper team.  From now through December 22nd Santa will chat with visitors each Thursday and Friday from 4pm until 6pm...on Saturdays from noon until 5pm...and Sundays from noon until 3pm, and he appears to have a pretty hefty inventory of candy cane treats for those who stop by to say hi.
