Have a Holly Jolly Holly Hop

If you have never been to an Art Hop event in the Benton Harbor Arts District, there may be no more festive time than tonight to discover your first such affair.  The New Territory Arts Association is rolling out a star-studded welcome mat for their 2013 Holly Hop from 6pm until 9pm tonight, Friday, December 13, 2013 and there will be plenty of places to get warm and enjoy a night on the town.

The final Art Hop of the year will find the Arts District vibrating with excitement and beautfully lit up for the Christmas season along both the sidewalk and in myriad galleries, restaurants and storefronts.  To add another level of fun that captures the spirit of the season, the 7th Annual Caroling Crusade will fill the air with festive music.

From food & drink to music, art, exhibits and friendship this celebratory night on the town will also afford you the opportunity to find that perfect gift for certain people on your gift list.  It's the perfect way to continue to Shop Local and support small businesses, artisans, and neighbors here at home.

From the annual holiday sale at Water Street Glassworks and their unique, one-of-a-kind creations...to Cycle-ReCycle's creative Tree of Wheels there is something for everybody.  From ARS Gallery's artist exhibit featuring the paintings of Will Hafeman of Chicago to SW Michigan's own super-star photographer Josh Nowicki's showcase at the OutCenter...there's art for every taste.  From Terazzo Gallery's trunk show of enamel & bead jewelry, to The Oak Room at the Citadel's showing of the work of the late Gail Mally-mack, the night could go on forever.

At 3 Pillars Gallery the feature is "Encore Shmoncore," an installation by Lisa Walcott...a kinetic scupltor from Holland.  At 210 Art Space at 210 Water Street, open studios, food, wine and a group exhibition by three great artists will capture your attention.  Wall Street Antiques is filled with holiday cheer, antiques, books and festive decorations.

Naturally, there will be great options for food and drink before, during and after the Holly Hop at Charlie's Piggin' & Grinnin', The Ideal Place, Lark's Bar-B-Que, The Library Pub & Eatery, and The Livery Microbrewery.

Make plans to join your friends and enjoy a first class Holly Hop tonight in the Benton Harbor Arts District!
