The entrepreneurial bug has bitten again for Brandon Cerecke. He is part of the team that recently purchased Sunset Coast Golf Center from Jeff Terry and has been working diligently to brighten everyone's experience at the pro shop and driving range. Now, Mr. Cerecke, who also owns and operates Ultra Seal Corporation of Bridgman, is partnering with Dirk Sorrells of St. Joseph to acquire Pro-Seal Asphalt & Seal Coating from Dale Christie of Christie Custom Homes in St. Joseph.
Sorrells tells me the duo will maintain the oustanding reputation created by Christie and his crew in operation of the business in Michigan's Great Southwest. Pro-Seal will continue to service residential, commercial and industrial clients with parking lot and driveway seal coating, crack-filling, parking lot striping, and similar repair and maintenance issues regarding paved surfaces.
Sorrells, who was most recently with the St. Joe company, Parlor Tattooing, that won the 2012 Celebrated Service Award from Celebration! Cinemas for its legendary service to customers, tells me they intend to do business "the old fashioned way," with close attention to detail and quality delivery. In fact, he tells me they have already updated the seal coating gear with state of the art equipment.
As Sorrells and Cerecke build their brand, they will use a newly purchased baby-blue1955 Chevy pick-up truck to haul their seal coater to job sites across the region. They made a road trip to a classic vehicle seller along Route 66 when they discovered the truck and it is currently being hand-painted with Pro-Seal's corporate logo. Also undergoing development is their new corporate website at www.prosealmi.com.
Pro-Seal will be based at 3385 Livingston Road in Bridgman, the home of the totally unrelated Ultra Seal Corporation which is a metal surface finisher utilizing vacuum casting impregnation methods.
