The RAC Achieves 5th Anniversary Milestone With Upcoming Celebration

When Sean Todman emerged onto the scene five years ago with his dynamic new state-of-the-art fitness center, even he hadn’t anticipated adding several new amenities for several years, but one year later he was conducting a ribbon-cutting for a brand new lap pool and a turf training field. His Renaissance Athletic Club had been a massive hit from the moment the doors first opened.

Fast forward to five years later, and Todman’s remarkable following of enthusiastic fans, broad array of members and others eager to advance his goal of “Fitness Through Community,” and he’s ready to celebrate the next chapter.

The Renaissance Athletic Center — affectionately known as simply The RAC — had a first year in business that proved to be so successful that Todman’s one-year anniversary celebration included that special ribbon cutting for the lap pool and turf, items which, in his own original five-year plan, hadn’t been planned until several years into the run. He never expected to accomplish either of those milestones so quickly, but the demand was there, the success was incredible, and the magic happened.

The truth is The RAC’s success extends well beyond its membership and the walls of the facility. Since its opening, the club has created more than 65 jobs, provided sports performance training scholarships to area student-athletes and supported a number of local charitable causes.

Todman himself says, “I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished in the past five years. None of it would have been possible without the dedication of our staff or the support of our members and the community as a whole.”

In recognition of the milestone 5th anniversary, The RAC invites the community to celebrate with an open house “In Da Club” on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1 to 4pm. The celebration will include exclusive giveaways, staff and member recognitions, as well as refreshments provided by VIVI’S Italian Garden, Schu’s Grill & Bar, The Mark III Grille & Bar, Pizza Hut and Bread+Bar.

During the open house, Todman will introduce RAC’s new philanthropic initiative, The Renaissance YOUth Foundation. Through training, mentoring, academic guidance and scholarship assistance, the foundation seeks to help shape the next generation of athletes by providing the tools they need to succeed on the playing field and beyond.

Through February 15, 2018, the club is also offering a limited-time anniversary rate of only $59/month to new members. Interested parties are invited to contact The RAC for details.
