The Michigan State Police is asking motorists to avoid I-94 westbound near Mattawan due to a traffic crash involving two semis at the 64 mile marker. I-94 is currently closed westbound at exit 66 due to this crash. Other minor crashes are also being reported in the area due to inattentive motorists approaching the traffic congestion. Traffic is expected to be re-routed for approximately the next 2 hours which will cause significant delays in this area.

Just minutes before noon, Michigan Department of Transportation officials reported that the westbound shutdown has been cleared…and the highway is back open for travel once again.
