Christopher Cook's regional footprint is expanding again, widening the reach of his premiere engineering and architectural design firm to seven locations ranging from Manistee to Lafayette. In fact, Lafayette is one of the two newest offices added to the portfolio of business for Abonmarche, which is headquartered in downtown Benton Harbor.
Abonmarche has opened two new offices; one in Battle Creek, Michigan, and the other in Lafayette, Indiana, while the company's Portage, Indiana office is relocating to Valparaiso. It's all part of the Abonmarche strategic plan for the region. The company has a team of nearly 65 professionals in a broad array of backgrounds and career fields.
Since 1979, Abonmarche has served communities in southwest Michigan and northwest Indiana, and the firm’s new presence in Battle Creek, Lafayette and Valparaiso will expand its ability to serve communities throughout the region.
Cook, who is President & CEO of Abonmarche says, “The opening of these two offices represents the next steps in our firm’s strategic plan.” He adds, “We look forward to serving these markets and helping communities in the area plan and implement impactful and sustainable projects.”
Tony McGhee, Abonmarche’s Director of Development Services, will head the Battle Creek office. A Battle Creek native, McGhee has helmed diverse development projects in communities throughout Michigan.
Abonmarche’s new Lafayette office is in the Starr Surveying building. That office is a result of a long working relationship between Abonmarche and Starr. The two companies will partner on projects in the area, with Starr providing survey and business development services and Abonmarche providing civil engineering and architectural services. Starr works primarily in the private sector on commercial developments. Together, Abonmarche and Starr intend to pursue residential, commercial and industrial development projects.
