Are You Really Making Money?

Anybody and everybody who has ever been in business for themselves at some point or another (if not every day) wonders to themselves: "Am I really making money?" If you are in business and count yourself among those with that concerning question, the crew at the Women's Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance is prepared to help you consider the right dynamics to find the answer to your question.

In partnership with the Michigan Small Business Development Center, the WBC is hosting a workshop on April 12th called "Am I Really Making Money — Management to Profitability." The session for small business owners will take place from 5:30pm until 7:30pm on Tuesday, April 12th at the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce atd 15311 Three Oaks Road in Three Oaks.

The workshop is designed for business owners to understand and implement best practices in financial management.

Led by Carolyn Rourke, a growth consultant with the Michigan Small Business Development Center, the course will cover important topics including the following:

  • Accessing current issues and challenges from your business' financial statements…
  • Identifying positive and negative trends in the financial performance of your business…
  • Understanding cash flow — determining break-even levels for sales & expenses…
  • Financial performance-analysis, benchmarking against industry peers, and other demographics…

The course will cover important financial topics that small business owners need to know when looking at the profitability of their business entity.
