If you have the talent, drive, determination, dedication and patience of Molly Pate of Berrien Springs, you could win the favor of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, as they are in search now of dramatic photos of Great Lakes’ sites such as piers, breakwaters, federal harbors on the Great Lakes, or specific sites such as the Soo Locks and the Duluth Ship Canal.

Molly’s extreme talent has earned her a spot with the Army Corps and many other opportunities such as the Cook Nuclear Plant Annual Safety Calendar and beyond. She had the photo for April 2019 in the Army Corps calendar and last year had both January and March images.

From now through 11:59pm on Sunday, June 7th, the Army Corps is asking for shutterbugs to submit photos for consideration for their 2021 downloadable calendar.

The top 12 photographers in the annual contest will have their photo included in the 2021 downloadable calendar and the top three photographers, determined by social media vote, will receive a plaque with their winning photo, provided by the Soo Locks Visitors Center Association.
