Beer, Music, Lighted Boats & More

If you love music, it makes sense that somebody like the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra might bring you a great opportunity with their Summerfest. But, if you also just so happen to love beer…food…and event lighted boats and more…the Symphony folks are about to hit it out of the park in your honor. The Summerfest Music & Microbrews from the SMSO is this coming Saturday night, and it's guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.

Make plans now to join the SMSO for a perfect summer evening along the shores of Lake Michigan. Experience all that is Michigan with craft beer, local cuisine, and live music! The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra presents Summerfest Music & Microbrews this Saturday, July 16th, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at the Shadowland Pavilion in Silver Beach County Park in St. Joseph.

The music starts at 5pm with PS Dump Your Boyfriend. They have been knocking the socks, shoes, pants and halter-tops off Midwest club goers for years with no real end in sight. With the emphasis on performance, PS has raised the bar for all other acts by setting attendance records at nearly all of their venues. The seamless show of non-stop entertainment is no accident. PS has been known to say "first we must entertain ourselves; we came out tonight to try and have more fun than the audience." This seems to be a never-ending battle with both sides victorious.

Then, at 7:30pm, the stage lights up with the sounds of Mega 80's. Essentially, if you take a handful of your favorite 80's songs, a splash of some retro-fashion, a pinch of panache and get the Mega 80's. Since their emergence onto the Detroit music scene, the Mega 80's have taken Southeast Michigan by storm. Now veterans of the 80's cultural milieu, they are still rocking as hard as ever. The proof is in the pudding! They've since been bestowed with awards such as: the Real Detroit's "Best of…" Best Live Production/Cover Band in 2002 and have won this category every year through 2013!
