Benton Harbor Authorities Seek Public Help In Tracking Shooting Suspect

Following a triple shooting incident in Benton Harbor Wednesday afternoon, the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect in the case as well as several other “persons of interest.”

Deputy Director Michael Clark says that at around 4:38 yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, July 31st, his officers responded to a shots fired call in the 800 block of Superior in the city. Upon arrival officers found two people who had been shot, a 29 year old man and a 32 year old woman, both from Benton Harbor. Officers began to render aid, however 29 year old Arsenio Jordan passed away at the scene of the shooting.  The 32 year old female was transported to Spectrum Health Lakeland where she was treated and is in stable condition.

While working this scene Saint Joseph officers responded to Spectrum Health Lakeland for a complaint of another 24 year old man with a gunshot wound.  He was also treated and is a suspect in the incident and is being held on an unrelated matter pending arraignment.

Benton Harbor Department of Public Service Detectives are seeking help to solve this crime. They are in search of 21-year old Eric Holbrook, shown in the photo accompanying this story.

Benton Harbor Detectives are further seeking help, “To resolve this violent act and are seeking the following Persons of Interest for questioning directly relating to this incident:”

16-year old Ashanti Lee, 42 year old Felicia Lee, and 20 year old Dondrell Blackamore Jr.

Benton Harbor officers were assisted by the Saint Joseph Department of Public Saftery, the Michigan State Police Major Crimes Unit, the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, the Berrien County Homicide Task Force and the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
