Berrien County Registers 3rd COVID-19 Death, 88 Positive Cases

The Berrien County Health Department tells us that a third death has been registered here from the coronavirus pandemic. This afternoon they say, “Our confirmed cumulative case count continues to rise. We are also reporting another death, in a male over the age of 55 who had several underlying medical conditions.”

For the third consecutive day, Berrien County has added 8 new positive results for coronavirus cases across the county, bringing the total count to 88, up 8 from yesterday’s count of 80, and 44 are now labeled as recovered in Berrien County. Meanwhile, Van Buren County added two new cases for a total of 18, while Cass County also added two for a total of 12 positive cases now. Berrien County has logged 3 deaths to date, with Cass and Van Buren still reporting one death each thus far in the pandemic.

Across Michigan, the tally stands at 22,783 statewide, up by 1,279 from yesterday, with 1,281 deaths from the virus, an increase of 205 from Thursday.
