Berrien RESA Board Election Draws Five Candidates for Two Positions June 7th

There will be at least one new member of the Berrien RESA Board of Education following the organization’s biennial election slated for June 7th. While incumbent board member Dave Pagel is seeking a new six-year term, Trustee Cathy Bair is not seeking re-election.

As a result of her decision to step away, five individuals filed with the Berrien County Clerk’s office to be considered in the race, including Pagel who serves as Vice President on the Board currently.

Berrien RESA’s Board of Education has scheduled their biennial election to be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 5:30 pm. The election is being held to fill two seats, both for six-year terms expiring June 30, 2027.

  • Sara Bates, Buchanan
  • Kevin M. Ivers, Bridgman
  • Andrew Robinson, St. Joseph
  • Daniel A. Seidling, Benton Harbor

Berrien RESA’s Board of Education members are elected by Berrien County school districts’ board of education members. Prior to the official election, each local district will adopt a resolution indicating which candidates they intend to vote for as well as nominate a designee from their board to officially submit their district’s ballot at the Berrien RESA Administrative Center on Monday June 7th.
