BH’s Pipestone Indoor CC Re-Opens After HVAC Install

When a summer morning takes flight like this morning did with steady rain falling and you had an early morning tee time and all the plans in the world to enjoy a vacation day at your favorite golf course there’s no longer despair at the end of your driver. Following a nearly month-long shutdown for HVAC work, the Pipestone Indoor Country Club located in the Benton Harbor Arts District is back in action, meaning you can be, too.

Co-owner Adam Lester says they re-opened yesterday after they were forced to shut down to allow duct work to be installed and the appropriate three-phase power could be connected to the building for their HVAC system. Then, he says, “The work hit a few snags and took a little longer than anticipated, however our doors are now open and the building is perfectly cooled to combat the August heat and create a comfortable place for customers to play the game.”

Even if today had dawned with full tilt sunshine, the hot and muggy dog days of summer come August can be less than pleasant playing conditions at a time when indoor golf can bring cool relief.

Even if you simply want to sharpen your game ahead of your entry into one of the late summer or fall charity golf outings, Pipestone Indoor Country Club on Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor can be the place to get some practice in so you don’t look like a hacker when the tourney gets underway.

Lester says that the new HVAC work also has them prepped for the inevitable dreaded winter weather far off on the horizon, but they’re not even thinking about that yet as there’s still a lot of summer left to enjoy in Michigan’s Great Southwest.

Adam says, “Now that we are back open we will continue to focus on sharing indoor golf with a market that may not be that familiar with how playable the technology is, growing the game, and contributing to a blossoming downtown Benton Harbor. My brother and I will look at organizing a tournament, trying to get some leagues together, and planning a big indoor golf season kick-off event to possibly coincide with the October Art Hop in the Arts District. We have a lot to do, but are very excited to share the space with our community!”

Keep in mind, too, that on a day like today or any other day for that matter, you can play some of the finest golf courses in the world with the amazing technology that Pipestone Indoor Country Club brings to the screen. It is extremely realistic, and can be just as unforgiving as the real thing if your game isn’t up to par.

Pipestone Indoor Country Club is open seven days a week with posted hours of 8am-to-Midnight daily. They always encourage golfers to make their reservations online so they can ensure a suite is available before making the drive down. If you want to reserve a room within two-hours, you should call ahead, as times will not be posted on the website.

In the event that there are no reservations on the books on any particular evening, they will typically take off earlier than midnight. You can make your reservations by clicking the link below:
