While it’s true that most entrepreneurs draw their inspiration from within, every entrepreneur can gain considerable inspiration from others and each will have the opportunity to gain additional newfound inspiration next month thanks to The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance.
The Women’s Business Center will host its annual celebration of female entrepreneurs on September 20th at Shadowland on Silver Beach from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Tickets are now available for the 2018 Celebrating the Entrepreneur event sponsored by 1st Source Bank THRIVE.
Keynote speaker Simona Pappalardo will tee up her address, “Inspiring the Next Generation.” Simona is Global Electronics Quality Director for Whirlpool Corporation. Her speech is a powerful message of leadership, mentoring and inclusion. She says, “When there is a problem, it is never someone’s fault. We shouldn’t search for a person to blame, but rather walk the process to understand what is missing in the way we conduct our business.”
As we all look to tomorrow, guests of the celebration will learn how partner organizations are preparing the next generation of leaders and innovators through education initiatives; along with tools used by the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance to ready entrepreneurs for the future.
1st Source Bank THRIVE is the title sponsor for the Women’s Business Center annual event. Kimberly Vincent, who serves as Vice President and Regional Sales Manager at 1st Source Bank tells us, “1st Source Bank believes in the work of the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance,” and adds, “We are excited to see a focus on the next generation of opportunities for female entrepreneurs. We recognize the importance of small businesses in our community and we are proud to once again be this year’s title sponsor.”
Celebrating the Entrepreneur started in 2014 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance, one of three centers in Michigan. Stacey Stephens, Senior Director of Entrepreneurship and Special Projects says, “Each year we work to bring a relevant message to our audience. For our fifth annual event, we are proud to bring the focus to the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs, while showcasing the success of our Women’s Business Center. The accomplishments of our team happen with the support of the community and our partner organizations; this event provides the venue to showcase them.”
