Christina Hardy Officially a Partner Now at Plante Moran in St. Joe

She’s instantly recognizable to a large segment of the business community, and has been active in many endeavors for nearly two decades around town. Now, Christina Hardy has been made a partner at her beloved employer, Plante Moran.

Hardy, who joined the firm 18 years ago in the year 2000 is one of three new partners in West Michigan offices being named today by one of the largest and most respected certified public accounting and business advisory firms in the nation.

Christina is a Certified Public Accountant and is based out of the firm’s St. Joseph office in the Edgewater District north of the St. Joseph River. She is the firm’s West Michigan not-for-profit leader, a member of the firm’s not-for-profit quality review group and helps lead the firm’s Women in Leadership initiative. With expertise in the nonprofit industry, she specializes in human service organizations, foundations, economic development organizations and grant-funded organizations. Christina received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University, and lives with her family in St. Joseph.

Kenley Penner is Managing Partner at the St. Joseph office at 511 Renaissance Drive in St. Joseph, and Christina Hardy has been a Senior Associate there until her new role as Partner in the firm.

Elsewhere in the ranks today, Plante Moran made a partner of Jason Durant, also a CPA, who joined the firm in 1997 and is the tax director of the firm’s Kalamazoo office. With more than 20 years of experience, he provides review, compilation, tax and business advisory services to privately held commercial businesses in the manufacturing and distribution and services industries. Durant earned his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Western Michigan University. He resides in Portage.

Finally, Jeremy Louters, a CPA, who joined Plante Moran in 2003 and is based out of the firm’s Grand Rapids office has achieved partner status today as well. He specializes in providing audit and review services to businesses with various ownership models, including closely held, private equity, franchisees or franchisors and internationally active businesses in the manufacturing industry, as well as various sectors within the service industry, such as consumer goods, retail, technology companies and architecture and engineering firms. He received his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Calvin College. Louters resides in Grand Rapids.
