Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday Adds Glamping Options This Spring

A couple of weeks ago when we were in the icy grips of the Polar Vortex, the U.S. Travel Association was busy celebrating National Plan a Vacation Day. It was on that day that Mark & Karla Lemoine, Owners and Managing Partners of the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday campgrounds in the region, commemorated the day by showing that they are at it again. That was the day they made the announcement of three Luxury Tent Sites arriving this coming season, and proving that camping does not mean “roughing it.”

Karla’s eyes light up as she points out these tents will be a perfect romantic get-away for couples, or a fun time for families and friends up to four persons. Each site will feature a paved walkway to a raised platform with a canvas tent structure. Inside, each of those glamorous camping — or simply “glamping” — retreats will be nicely appointed with a queen bed, futon couch, two rocking chairs, lighting, a mini-fridge, heat, and air conditioning. Outside, your walkway will lead you to your own picnic table, Weber gas grill and patio space to relax by your enhanced fire experience.

Mark Lemoine says, “These sites will be an exciting option for our guests who are looking for a unique camping experience,” and adds, “To complete the ‘glamping’ feel, guests will also enjoy our other amenities such as free Wi-Fi, heated in-ground pool and hot tub, and the on-site Café including our Hunt Brothers Pizza Shoppe with delivery right to your site.”

These new Luxury “Glamping” Tent sites will be ready for the Memorial Day holiday weekend and are in addition to their twelve existing cabin accommodations and over 115 recreational vehicle and traditional tent sites. While Old Man Winter still has a grip on Michigan’s Great Southwest, your mental health can be improved with the anticipation of warmer temperatures.
