They wrapped up another hugely successful camping season at the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday this past weekend, but that means anything but hibernation for the team headed up by Owner and Managing Partner Mark Lemoine. In fact, “Off-Season Mode” means considerable work is on the horizon for Lemoine and his crew with ongoing rehabilitation projects getting underway again at the popular campground in Hagar Township.

With two full seasons under their belt, there’s no sign of slowing down, whatsoever. Following their Halloween Harvest and Second Annual Chili Cook-off this past weekend, the staff and owners of the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday did bid farewell to their final guests for the 2018 camping season following another record year, but the work will be ongoing for continuous improvements there.

Lemoine says, “Our first full season in 2017 eclipsed all previous years, and 2018 was stronger yet.” He adds, “It’s a privilege to have hosted more than 11,300 guests from all over the United States and from 15 international countries this year with time together with their family and friends while growing our small business right here in Michigan’s Great Southwest!”

Shifting into the “off-season,” Lemoine also announced his ongoing rehabilitation projects, which will include:

For the past two years, Lemoine and crew have made investments to improve the 44-year old campground, which was purchased from the original owners back in 2016. Their ongoing efforts are also a part of the Commercial Rehabilitation District designation which they sought with the assistance of the Cornerstone Alliance and which was unanimously granted by the Hagar Township board of trustees.

Mark’s better half, Karla Lemoine says, “As avid campers ourselves, we just keep doing what comes naturally to us.” She, too, is an Owner and Managing Partner in the business. She says, “While we look forward to enjoying some downtime of our own over the next six months, we plan to stay busy getting ready for next year in order to continue to meet and exceed our guest’s experience by improving our infrastructure, accommodations and amenities.”

The campgrounds located at I-196 and Coloma Road in Hagar Township are locally owned and operated by the Lemoines under their corporate entity, Fifth Level Hospitality, Inc. doing business as the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday. Their facility is the closest KOA campground to Lake Michigan anywhere in the region and offers 130 sites for tenting, RVs and features a dozen cabins as well at 3527 Coloma Road.

Amenities on site include an in-ground heated pool, hot tub, jumping pillow, Gaga ball, Carpet ball, mini-golf, fun bike rentals and more. You can learn more online at the link below, and are encouraged to follow along on Facebook as well. Here’s the link to their website: http://www.stjosephkoa.com
