Crystal Springs Florist Launches 70th Anniversary Celebration

crystalsprings

Seventy years ago today Guenther, Mary and Gerhard Siegert launched a small flower shop with a single greenhouse along Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor. They called it Crystal Springs Florist. Today, a third generation of the Siegert family proudly stepped off its next 70 years when they threw open the doors at 8:30am and began their 70th Anniversary celebration.

Still growing, producing, creating and selling the same top quality of plants and flowers as their founders, the Siegert family comprised of Dennis & Iris Siegert and their sons Russell and Randy Siegert now sport an exponentially grown enterprise that is one of the largest in the entire region of Michigan’s Great Southwest.

What started in 1947 as a small floral shop and a single greenhouse now features a full service flower and gift shop, a garden center and now more than 10 greenhouses packed with an amazing array of colorful things for your own home, garden, office, or yard.

The Siegert family is delighted to still grow their Geraniums the old-fashioned way with many new colors to choose from. They also pride themselves on unusual annual plants and perennials as a specialty of the house.

The Crystal Springs garden center is officially open for the season and the party starts today with refreshments, prizes, and free gifts for their guests. Amazingly, some items in the house will feature pricing identical to opening day in 1947.

Today’s Crystal Springs experience also offers bridal and in home design consultations which are available by appointment. The Crystal Springs team can provide flowers for virtually any occasion, and delivery is available locally in northern Berrien County and around the world by Teleflora wire services.

You’ll find Crystal Springs Florist at 1475 Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor, and they are open Monday through Saturday from 8:30am until 5:30pm and Sundays from 10am until 5pm in the Garden Center only.

Congratulations on an amazing 70 year performance, and best of luck with the next 70 in Michigan’s Great Southwest.
