Increasingly it seems as if whenever the crew at Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corporation sets out to raise some cash for their United Way employee campaign, the entire community gets a win — and not just from the money that goes to the services of United Way of Southwest Michigan, either. Increasingly there's something in it for us that not only helps the employee campaign, but benefits us. This weekend is a prime example.
This weekend, the crew at Whirlpool is offering up the “Fall Haul Appliance Truckload Sale.” Planned for Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16, it's a great opportunity for you and I to shop for amazing bargains, while all proceeds will be going to the 2016 employee United Way campaign. This is their last major United Way fundraiser of the year, so get ready to find your way to the sale and grab a great deal as they close out the campaign.
The sale hours will run from 8am to 1pm on both days and the location is the Center for Partner Development (CPD) building at 1800 Paw Paw Avenue in Benton Harbor.
The sale, which is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, will include more than 200 deeply discounted Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid and Whirlpool brand ovens, ranges, MHC, hoods, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers at significant savings. This is new and good product in original packaging with a full one-year warranty. They will also have several new KitchenAid Small Appliances offered at exclusive prices. Some of those new small appliances available will be the 12-Cup Coffee Maker with One-Touch Brewing and the incredibly popular Spiralizer Stand Mixer Attachment, plus more.
All product purchased must be picked up during the sale hours, or for an additional $100 donation per appliance, home deliveries will be available inside a 15-mile radius. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment, however, no checks will be allowed and there will be no early sales before the announced start time.
