Discounted Whirlpool Appliances Equal United Way Boost This Weekend

A traditional component of the Whirlpool Corporation United Way Employee Campaign is back this weekend, and it delivers a great value to the entire rest of the community for those in the market for a deeply discounted appliance.

Dubbed simply, The Spring Appliance Sale, Whirlpool’s United Way campaign hopes to offer big savings to you and a solid gain to the fundraising campaign’s bottom line at one and the same time, inasmuch as all proceeds of this weekend’s sale go to the employee campaign.

It’s essentially your chance to get a great deal for a great cause. Whirlpool Corporation will be selling upwards of 250 deeply discounted appliances on Saturday, June 9th from 8am until 4pm and again on Sunday from 9am until 1pm. The entire public is invited to shop the big product sale taking place at 150 Hilltop Road in St. Joseph.

The open public salewill include Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid and Whirlpool brand ovens, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers and washers and dryers. There will also be several KitchenAid Small Appliances offered at exclusive prices.

Gokul Nair is Senior Manager of Global Operations for Whirlpool. He says, “This is a huge event for the community,” and adds, “Our goal is to raise more than $100,000 during these two days.”

All the major appliances are refurbished, with a full one-year warranty.

Keep in mind that all products purchased must be picked up during the sale hours, or for an additional $100 donation per appliance, home deliveries will be available within a 15-mile radius. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for payment, however no checks can be taken. Additionally, there will be no early sales so everyone attending has an equal opportunity to find the best bargain in the hunt.

Make plans to take your neighbors, your friends and even your relatives to the sale — and help United Way of Southwest Michigan in the process.
