A hearty group of St. Joseph High School alums are ready to fire up the time machine once again and transport you magically back to yesteryear to witness a live showcase of variety show acts that originated on stage up to 50 years ago, but your time is running out to reserve your tickets.
Encore 2016 — the St. Joseph High School Variety Show Reunion Tour — will take to the stage at John & Dede Howard Auditorium at St. Joseph High School for two nights only on August 19th and 20th and it's time to lock in your tickets to avoid being shut out.
Where else can you see the same "students" replicate acts first mastered 15, 20, 30, even 50 years ago when they were in high school performed live in a first-class setting? Encore 2016 is the brainchild of members of the St. Joseph Public Schools Foundation who pulled together the first such reunion tour to sold out audiences in 2014. They had so much fun doing it, that there was an instant promise made to get to work on the next one. This is that show.
Tickets to Encore may be purchased online at the link below or you can stop in person at Edgewater Bank headquarters at Broad & Main in downtown St. Joseph during normal working hours. Tickets ordered online can be picked up the evening of the performance at a Will Call area by presenting a printed e-mail receipt and the proper ID of the person who ordered. They can also be picked up in the lobby of the auditorium between 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday, August 17th and 18th.
All seats are reserved and there are three levels of tickets:
- White Tier Tickets are $100 each
- Maize Tier Tickets are $25 each
- Blue Tier Tickets are $10 each
Any amount over $10 per ticket may be tax deductible, check with your financial advisor for information as it might apply to you. Handicapped tickets are available for those needing wheelchair space, and the price of those tickets is $10 each.
Performances begin at 7pm each evening, and take place at the auditorium located at 2521 Stadium Drive in St. Joseph.
