With over 2,200 available jobs in southwest Michigan, Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass Van Buren is urging the public to get back to work by attending one of several virtual hiring events.
Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren is helping to fill the gap with 15- minute phone interviews. During the interviews, employers will discuss job opportunities, qualifications, and experience with job seekers to determine if they’re a good fit and interest for their company. Hiring employers include:
Spectrum Health Lakeland: Tuesday, February 1 from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Hiring (full and part-time): Nurse Technicians
Spectrum Health Lakeland Pine Ridge: Monday, February 7 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Hiring: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) in Training
Berrien County Juvenile Center: Tuesday, February 8 to Thursday, February 10 from
9 am – 5:00 pm
Hiring (full and part-time): Director, Youth Specialist, Temporary Youth Specialist, Temporary Secretary, and a Cook
Arcadia Home Care & Staffing: Thursday, February 10 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Hiring: Home Health Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s)
“Attendees often don’t know what to expect when they sign up for this type of hiring event so we have simplified the process,” said Mark O’Reilly, Director of Business Solutions and Innovation at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren. “Job seekers simply need to provide their phone number on our website, select a time for the interview, and the employer will call them at the scheduled time slot. We also encourage individuals to reach out to us directly if they do not see a position that interests them, but they’re still in need of a career in southwest Michigan.”
