Fifteen Years and Counting for Cornerstone WBC

wbcentrepreneuers

At one and the same time it seems as if The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance launched business just a few short years ago in Michigan’s Great Southwest, while it also seems as if they’ve been a key part of the landscape for decades. Reality is that the prolific team working every day with entrepreneurs and business people all across the region is marking a significant milestone this fall — 15 years in business.

Affectionately known by simply the initials of WBC, the Cornerstone Alliance affiliate team is celebrating 15 years since they opened the doors back in 2004, working diligently with local entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into reality, and helping many small businesses grow to the next level of every day success.

The WBC is encouraging folks from every walk in life to join in the celebration over a luncheon on Wednesday, October 2nd sponsored by 1st Source Bank. That luncheon from 11:30am to 1pm at the Mendel Center on the Napier Campus of Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor will feature keynote speakers Leslie Osborne, former USA Women’s National Team Soccer Player and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Lindsay Tarpley, as they share how they turned their love for soccer into Sweat Cosmetics, an innovative cosmetics company for active women.

The event will include vendor pop-ups featuring WBC clients, such as Lazy Ballerina Winery, Forever Clean Soap Works, AB Nutrition, Spero-Hope, Stuffed Gourmet Pretzels, and many others.
